About
This site exists for one simple reason: applying for the Prime Minister's Youth Chromebook Scheme should not be confusing. The official application happens on the IBCC portal, but the portal itself is built for processing applications, not for teaching you how the process works. Students were left guessing about which number to enter, which documents to prepare, and what to do when their record did not show up. We wrote the guide we wished existed.
Here you will find a plain, step-by-step walkthrough of the whole application: how to find your record on your board's list, how to check your details before submitting, which documents to upload, and how to keep your reference number and application slip safe. We also cover the problems students actually run into — records that are not found, dates of birth that do not match board data, scans that are too large or too blurry — and the fixes that work, in the order you should try them.
The scheme itself is run by the Prime Minister's Youth Programme, and applications are handled by the IBCC, the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen. It offers 500,000 Chromebooks to top-performing students of government and public schools across Pakistan, based on the Annual Examinations 2026. Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan boards cover Grade 9 toppers, while the AJK, Islamabad and Gilgit-Baltistan boards also include Grade 10.
We are an independent guide. We are not the IBCC, not the Prime Minister's Youth Programme, and not any education board. We do not take applications, we cannot check your record for you, and we cannot change anything about your application. What we can do is explain the process clearly, keep the information updated as the scheme moves through merit lists and deliveries, and warn you about the fake pages and paid "agents" that pop up around every government scheme.
Every fact on this site is checked against the official portal and official announcements. If something here ever disagrees with pmychromebooks.ibcc.edu.pk, trust the portal. It is the source that counts.
